Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk

Check in was friendly and efficient, room was quiet and comfortable, pool and hot tub clean & well stocked with towels, but the main highlight of this hotel was the amazing happy hour food and beverages, as well as the morning breakfast buffet that was included and since there was 7 of us, made the hotel room practically free! They had a popcorn machine that was hot and ready to go by 4:30, and at 5 Happy hour food "appetizers" were served Buffet style, and was actually a full on meal of BBQ pork sliders, mac and cheese, coleslaw, salad and a nacho bar! Room included 2 free drinks from the bar per adult, and the soda machine was available for the kids. Breakfast in the am was just as plentiful and a great variety there as well! Truly a 5 star hotel experience! Bonus was the River Walk was right there, and the walk to the Alamo was 3 minutes!

The Drury was so nice and clean! The breakfast bar and happy hour snacks had something for everyone! The hotel was in a great location for the riverwalk. I would definitely recommend staying here!

-Luis Figueroa - Front Desk Mgr. Helped search for a lost credit card and even sifted through some trash we had thrown away to help look for it. Incredibly nice man that went out of his way to be helpful, since my friend was on crutches and couldn't easily get around. -Teresa, who at the time was at the desk that holds luggage, was kind enough to give my friend a key card after checking out on 5/6 to go to the basement and use the bathroom. -There were 2-3 young valets (5/6 at approx. 2:30 pm) were incredibly helpful in locating my friend’s vehicle after she gave them the wrong name at check-in, and they assisted her in loading her vehicle, since she was on crutches. -Several times throughout our stay my friend who was on crutches called the front desk to request things like toilet paper, extra towels & bottled water charged to the room & they were kind enough to send someone to our room with those items. The staff were extremely professional & helpful. -Employees cleaning & caring for the food/coffee/soda areas were friendly & welcoming. So were all the maintenance & housekeeping staff we came across during our stay.

The staff at this location is exceptional, they restored my faith in humanity for sure! I was visiting my grandson during my stay. He had a medical issue crop up and I needed to get a few things for him but didn't want to leave him alone. I spoke with an agent, Julie Ann about the situation. She relayed the information to the manager, Vanessa. They sent me back to my room to be with my grandson, Vanessa took my shopping list herself and went to the store. Then they had it sent up to my room! To top off their generosity, they would not accept money for my purchase. Later in the afternoon we needed more assistance. Once again they jumped into action, called for emergency help, sent another manager to our room to wait with me for the medics and to offer his assistance. Their kind assistance was appreciated during our crisis.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our anniversary and really enjoyed our stay. The price was great for everything that was included! The inside lobby of the hotel is beautiful! We loved that the location was close to everything! We parked our car and walked the entire weekend. Also there was a nice breakfast and dinner included for everyone and a complimentary drink coupon for those over 21 also included with our stay. In the basement there is a small history trail with past pictures of the building and the original elevator. It was really nice to see. All of the staff was friendly and helpful!! The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to others!
